WHERE DID YOU COME FROM COTTON EYE JOE?

 

I distinctly remember the moment in 2008 when I was watching Ellen and she covered ‘Facebook’ and “What I need to know!”  I’d just had a baby and I’d returned from living overseas, where MSN Messenger was life.  I remember thinking this ‘Facebook’ was exciting, life changing and I needed to be ahead of the game.  I signed up immediately.  I had not one single Facebook Friend for a good six months.  Nobody had even heard of it.

 

Over that six months I think I may have recruited 99% of my hometown.  Suddenly I was in contact with long lost family and ex-pat friends that I never thought I’d see again.  Every day at my son’s nap time I would investigate all I could on what turned out to be the Social Media boom!

 

During this ‘Boom’ I’ve worked in Public Relations, Administration, Digital Media and Marketing.  I’m still ahead of the game in Social Media, investigating trends, algorithms and statistics.  I currently work in marketing schools, where Policy, privacy and red tape regulations are constant obstacles which need to be navigated through to get the job done.  A paid ‘Boost’ or Ad on Facebook isn’t just a simple push of the button.  However, it IS a simple push of the button in the Private Sector.  I can show you just how simple it can be to reach thousands more people every week.  Social Media Marketing is now the way forward with your business and the best thing is, you can learn it yourself or even outsource it, but YOU have control of your brand and business!

MELEDEE MARKETING – The History Of…

Meledee Marketing was formed early in 2020, immediately after my Nan’s passing.  Nan was always encouraging me professionally to do more and go further.  She has always been my proudest advocate.  Every time Nan received a glossy magazine which I’d published, she’d show every person in the Nursing Home.  She had dementia, so she would show those same people a hundred more times before the next instalment in ten weeks’ time.  When she’d try to escape the Nursing Home, her knapsack would always have one of my magazines in it.

Nan’s legacy left is family togetherness, dancing, singing and a MELODY of hysterical laughter.  The word Meledee is a tip of the hat towards my Nan (MErle), my Pop (LEs) and my mum, DEE.  It’s also easy on the tongue.

​
